Rado's memories
- + Dad lets me drive his car on his lap, which I steer almost into a ditch.
- +- we move to a new appartment.
- - Playing soccer with kids on the backyard, when the ball
hits my head, which causes my nose to bleed.
- +- I enter preschool.
- + Lucky win of toy from an oldtimer giving them away for free.
- - Playing with a cart, I get bullied and the cart stolen (memories differ from parents': they don't recall this)
- + we move to a new appartment.
- +- I enter elementary school.
- + Mom teaches me to calculate
times
, divide
.
(I begin to love math: it's so clear and easy, once you
get the trick
behind it, the rules/ logic)
- + While visiting relatives in Switzerland, I leave the
family group to return to the homeplace there when they
called for return. Parents get angry because they lost
control about me and beat me up instead of acknowledging
that I found my way home on my own.
- + In a regular soccer match I lop the ball over the enemy keeper to initiate our winning goal.
- - At a soccer training session a ball hits my left ring finger/ hand so badly that I think it cracked some bone.
- - In a regular soccer match I cause a penalty, so we lose.
- - In a regular soccer match I defeat our own goalie.
- + In an important match of a soccer tournament I hit the first leading goal: we win 3:1.
- - Grade "5" in math == failed: must experience it once. ;-)
- + I figure out the sum-formula by myself before being told: 1+2+3+...+n = (n * (n+1))/2
- + Computer science studies introduction has a simple
example to show how to data-mining/ privacy intrusion
happens: give some data and suggest to use birthdate as
"something simple" to fit a 6-character as login/PW (can't
remember which, but 1 of the 2). All but I use their real
birthdates, I make up something random: everybody else was
"caught", while I "passed". => it pays off to be different.
- + I figure out how teaching should be done to be lasting/ effective.
